With the New Year quickly approaching, this is a great time to review your current website and evaluate its performance level. While we are seeing an explosion of growth in corporate social media strategy and development, we are also encouraging our customers to keep a strong website presence. Here are a few things to keep in mind when reviewing your website:
Accessible: With a variety of browsers and devices available to consumers today, it is more important than ever before to make sure your site can be easily accessed and viewed. Do you know if your current site is mobile-friendly? If not, this may be one of the first things you want to consider reviewing in the New Year.
Navigation: Can visitors to your website easily find the information they are seeking? Consumers do not want to have to search through endless drop down menus and pages of useless chatter. Keep your call-to-action buttons simple and easy to find. Make sure your site visitors know what action you would like them to take (call, click, email).
Flash Animation: Does your site utilize flash animation on your home and/or landing pages? If so, this may be hindering your search engine ranking results. Additionally, many mobile devices cannot detect flash so your site may not be found or viewed. Consider rebuilding any pages currently using flash as part of your overall website redesign.
